AMMUNITION
Ammunition and cartridges in the strict sense of the word also have their legal definitions set out in the Firearms and Ammunition Act (No. 190/2003 of the Code in Slovakia). Ammunition can generally be considered to be various cartridges and projectiles for various types of firearms. These may be bullets or shotshells, which are subject to registration on the basis of a firearms license. However, shots and pellets for air guns, plastic 6 mm projectiles for airsoft guns, projectiles for paintball guns, projectiles for percussion guns, blank and tear gas cartridges or signal flares for expansion guns may also be considered as ammunition. You can find the following cartridges for firearms in our e-shop:
BULLETS AND SHOTS
These are intended for regular rifles and shotguns for which a firearms license is required. This ammunition cannot be acquired remotely (e. g. online ordering). For consumers, personal collection in our brick-and-mortar store is only possible upon presentation of a firearms license. We deal mainly with bullets and shotshells by the Czech brand Sellier & Bellot.
BLANK AND GAS CARTRIDGES
They are intended for expansion weapons (so-called gas guns), such as pistols or revolvers. Blank cartridges produce a sound (acoustic) effect when fired. They are used, for example, to start races and scare away vermin or wild animals. Gas cartridges, in addition to the sound effect, shoot a cloud of irritating tear-gas substance into the area, so they are intended for self-defense. When choosing the right cartridges, you should choose according to the appropriate caliber of your weapon (e. g. 6 mm, 8 mm, 9 mm). When selecting gas cartridges, also note the content and concentration of the active substance. Closely related to blank cartridges are the signal flares with 15 mm in diameter, which can be fired by some expansion guns.
PELLETS, SHOTS, T4E AMMUNITION
Pellets and shots for air guns are available in different calibers (most commonly 4.5 mm and 5.5 mm), in different shapes, weights and package sizes. The T4E ammunition range consists of rubber projectiles, projectiles containing color substance and projectiles containing irritating tear-gas substance. They are available in caliber .43, .50, and .68 and they are designed for weapons that are commonly referred to by names such as Defense-Training Markers, MagFed paintball, Non- / Less-Lethal Markers, and RAM. They can be used for self-defense, paintball, or training shooting.
